Ministers Vision for the Church

Personal vision

We are a church that believes in the fellowship of the whole international family of God, finding a unity in Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. therefore we Welcome people form all nationalities to our meetings.

  • To make whole disciples who are mature in their faith and active in the spiritual gifts and able to use them wisely and with maturity.

  • To be a church passionate about worshiping God in total freedom going where the wind of God’s Spirit blows us and that is all inclusive.

  • To have a large Church mentality.

  • To be a place where people come to be blessed, healed, and loved into spiritual Wholeness and walking in the truth.

The How from Scripture :

Isa. 62:10-12

   Pass through, pass through the gates! A people prepared to change

    Prepare the way for the people. [To create a safe place for wholeness development.]

    Build up, build up the highway!

    Remove the stones.

    Raise a banner for the nations. [To build a clear direction, remove the blockages that cause them to stumble and fall and give clear proclamation of the Gospel of Christ. (not Mans)]

11    The Lord has made proclamation

    to the ends of the earth:

    “Say to the Daughter of Zion,

    ‘See, your Saviour comes!

    See, his reward is with him,

    and his recompense accompanies him.’ ” [To live in God’s Favour]

12    They will be called the Holy People,

    the Redeemed of the Lord;        {To be examples of Holiness}

    and you will be called Sought After,

    the City No Longer Deserted    {To be a place where people come to be revived at the re-dug wells of Elim.}

My Role

To initiate and facilitate it.

11It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fulness of Christ.

14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

It is my role and the role of the leaders to help equip you the body of the church to fulfil your function as part of that body and to enable you to do it to the best of your ability.

It is also my role to keep us going in the right direction as a whole body and to keep us as a church connected and involved in Elim’s vision as a larger organisation.

How to function in this Vision

The messianic ( anointed One) model

Walking in God’s Favour

 The Year of the Lord’s Favour

1    The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,

    because the Lord has anointed me  (Anointed People)

Our Job

    to preach good news to the poor.

    He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted,

    to proclaim freedom for the captives

    and release from darkness for the prisoners,£

2    to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour [God’s Economy]

    and the day of vengeance of our God, [God’s Battle]

    to comfort all who mourn, [A Comforting people]

3    and provide for those who grieve in Zion—

    to bestow on them a crown of beauty

    instead of ashes,

    the oil of gladness

    instead of mourning,

    and a garment of praise

    instead of a spirit of despair.

    They will be called oaks of righteousness,

    a planting of the Lord    [Mature Disciples]

    for the display of his splendour.

4    They will rebuild the ancient ruins

    and restore the places long devastated;

    they will renew the ruined cities

    that have been devastated for generations. [Better reputation for the church, large church mentality]

5    Aliens will shepherd your flocks;

    foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.

6    And you will be called priests of the Lord,

    you will be named ministers of our God. [priesthood of all believers]

    You will feed on the wealth of nations,

    and in their riches you will boast.

7    Instead of their shame

    my people will receive a double portion,

    and instead of disgrace

    they will rejoice in their inheritance;

    and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, [God’ Economy]

    and everlasting joy will be theirs.

8    “For I, the Lord, love justice;

    I hate robbery and iniquity.

    In my faithfulness I will reward them

    and make an everlasting covenant with them.

9    Their descendants will be known among the nations

    and their offspring among the peoples.

    All who see them will acknowledge

    that they are a people the Lord has blessed.” [A people walking in God’s blessing.]

If as a church we can walk the journey of our faith like this Evesham will be a better place to live, because of our influence.
